All Grape Skimboards are hand shaped from 3/4” 5-pound density Divinycell PVC foam. Boards are foiled in the nose and tail to insure a proper flex pattern. Boards are laminated with top quality epoxy resin.
All Grape Skimboards are made with Quad Wrap Technology. Boards have a standard single woven 6 ounce fiberglass cloth full rail wrap that overlaps at the nose for added wear resistance. Three bottom edge wraps with fiberglass gun roving compliment each board for extra protection against dings, rail splits, and rail wear. Edge wrap increases flexional strength, which increases performance. We now add a extra 6 ounce fiberglass patch to the nose of E-glass and S-glass board, and carbon to the nose of carbon boards for added wear resistance.

-Grape Standard Rocker:
Skimboards made with this rocker are best described as fast and smooth. These boards are great for all riders and skimming conditions. They have enough nose rocker to make it from the sand to the water without submerging and low enough entry rocker to be very fast down the line. The entry rocker smoothly blends deep into the tail. The way the entry rocker blends into the transitional rocker and feeds to the nearly flat tail rocker translates to speed and drive off the tail going out to the wave, fast smooth sweeping turns, and speed down the line.
-Grape Team Rocker:
Skimboards made with this rocker are best described as quick and responsive. Most of our team prefers this rocker. This rocker has nearly the same nose and entry rocker as the “Grape Standard Rocker.” However there is a hair more curve in the transitional rocker that feeds into a little bit of tail rocker. The added curve makes the skimboards with the “Grape Team Rocker” more sensitive and responsive to the riders movements. These boards make tighter radius turns on rail and fit better into the curvature of a wave. They have more “poop” for airs and tricks, ride backwards easier without pearling the tail, and have more control on large waves. However the added responsiveness of these boards comes at a price because the little bit of tail rocker makes these boards not quite as fast skimming straight out to a wave compared to a like board with the Grape Standard rocker.

Custom orders generally take about 2 weeks make then about 5 business days to ship to the East Coast - Quicker if you are close to the West Coast. If you place an order on a weekend or holiday, your order will not be processed until the following business day
How much is shipping going to cost?
A lot of it depends on where we’re shipping. If you add the product you are interested in to your shopping cart on our site and enter your shipping information, it will show you the cost for your purchase. You don’t have to complete the purchase process to get this estimate.
Why does it take 2–3 days to process?
It’s kind of like waiting in line…if we get 100 board orders one day, and yours is number 99, chances are it’s going to take a day or two before we are able to get it ready for shipping. The processing time also allows us to protect our customers against fraudulent orders. Many fraudulent orders are caught before the order has shipped thanks to this window of time.
